The first session is simply an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and start exploring what has brought you to therapy. 


We may talk about what you’ve been experiencing recently, a bit about your background, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy.

The frequency of sessions can vary depending on your needs, goals, and what feels most supportive for you. 


Many people begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, and over time we can adjust the pace together.


During our initial conversations, we can explore what schedule may work best for you.

Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes. This allows enough time to explore what you’re experiencing, and begin developing tools that can support you between sessions.


30 minute sessions are also available where clinically appropriate. These shorter sessions can be helpful for maintaining progress, revisiting coping strategies

Family sessions are usually 60 minutes, as they often involve multiple perspectives and shared goals. This additional time allows space for everyone to feel heard and for conversations to unfold in a supportive and balanced way.


Workshops and group sessions may vary in length depending on the topic and format.

Many people reach out for therapy when they’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating life transitions, experiencing anxiety or low mood, or simply wanting a space to reflect and grow.


If you’re unsure whether therapy is the right step, a FREE consultation can be a helpful way to ask questions and see if the process feels like a good fit for you.

Yes. Therapy is a confidential space, which means what you share in session is kept private. 


There are a few legal and ethical limits to confidentiality related to safety, and these will be explained during the intake process so you feel fully informed.

That’s completely okay. Many people come to therapy without knowing exactly where to begin. 


The first few sessions can simply be a space to talk through what’s been on your mind, and start making sense of things together.
